We noticed our invoice and order numbers stopped to automatically increase by 1, now each time we have to enter the invoice numbers by hand.  Is there a way to fix this?

first of all, what is the version of the application that you use?

Second, do you see the invoice number when you editing the invoice, or it appears only after you saved the transaction?

 Thanks for the reply.  We're using version 10.0 Gold Edition.
  We tried just saving the invoice and the number does show up.  However, because we have been entering the numbers manually, each time we save without entering a number, the system automatically gives a number from the last number it generated.  Is there a way to set the number so that we can have the numbers number at the next invoice we are at?

Hi,

your number will never show up if you get conflict number when you save the invoice. You need to setup next transaction number to a good one. Just go in settings (Configuration / Settings), then in section Printing / General and in the section Invoices set the parameter "Define the next number" at a good value for you.
